Tome Time Episode 34: Grand Library Reopening

Welcome to Tome Time, a reading and knitting podcast. Knitting content begins at 19:00.  Join me in making a vintage inspire wardrobe piece in the Vintage Make-Along, starting June 1st, 2017.  Head over to the Tome Time Ravelry group and let me know what you are planning for the Vintage MAL!

I read Dreamers Often Lie by Jacqueline West, The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, and American Gods by Neil Gaiman.  There are no spoilers in my reviews.

I am knitting Titania’s Revenge socks by Cookie A in Toad Hollow Yarns in the Fairy Court colorway. I finished socks for Dogster from Mustache Yarns Boba Fett colorway. Slow progress is being made on My Everything by Joji Locatelli out of Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok in Midnight Sea. My traveling knitting project is a vanilla sock in the Cosmos colorway from The Brazen Stitchery on their Paparazzi Sock base. Dogster has unofficially renamed this colorway The Grand Library Reopening. I have almost finished The Secret Skein Mystery KAL from Mina Loves Designs.

My recent sewing has consisted of Simplicity 1070, but I have big plans for a vintage inspired wrap dress from Sew Many Dresses, So Little Time.

I made two laps of the Beast Trail before my calf muscles could take no more. It was a beautiful run and I hope to try for three laps next year. This fall, I have a 15K trail run and a half marathon planned. This summer I will concentrate on getting a little faster.
